Sunday Funday

Hey Everybody!!  Ellen here!

Did you know that today was Sunday Funday?  We went on an adventure to the Mall of America!  On the way up there Mama told me and Linden that we were NOT going on ANY rides today, Linden was not impressed!  But as usual, Mama had something super fun planned.

We went to the Sea Life Aquarium!  From the minute we got there I knew it was going to be great.  Immediately there were fun things to see, touch and do.

We had a great time touching the stingrays...

And of course, we got to see a lot of fish.

Pout Pout Fish is my favorite book so it was super fun getting to see the jellyfish, and octopus, too bad we didn't see a squid or clam.

It sure was a great time, and we got to learn about the sea animals while we were doing it.  They even gave us a medal for completing our Sea Life Passport.

Of course, no trip to the Mall of America would be complete without a trip to the Lego store to play.  We love getting to look at all of the fun creations, and spend some time building some of our own.

Once again, Mama surprised us and all three of us got to get some new LEGOS!!!

 To finish off a great day, we ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  I was a little worried that Linden would get scared during the thunderstorms, but she was brave.  Our table sat right next to the Gorillas so when it started raining it sure got loud!!  We also had a great view of the sky and the beautiful sunset.

Off to bed, we have another busy week!

Soccer

Another season, and another new adventure...I get to play Soccer!!

A few weeks ago Mama and Daddy brought me to the store and I got shin gards, new running shoes, and a soccer ball.  I just couldn't wait to start!  When the first night came it was even greater than I expected, my great friend Kaiya is on the same team!!!

We have had a couple practices and I think we have a pretty great team.  Coach Linda and Coach Brian are super fun and make sure we are always having a great time.

They have been working to teach us how to kick the ball correctly, making sure we don't touch the ball with our hands, and trying to teach us some of the rules of the game.

Ellen doesn't really understand that we are only practicing, but she is a really great cheerer.  The only problem, she likes to drink my water!  Good thing Mama makes sure to pack extra.

I couldn't wait for our first game, we have got to play games during practice so I just knew we were going to do great!  We have had a bunch of games and they are super fun.  I have been so lucky to have all sorts of people who love me come to watch me play.

 Watch out world, #8 is ready to take over the soccer world!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Another Mother's Day in the books, and I think Mama is doing a pretty great job.

This year we decided to go to Mankato and have a super fun day with Mama!  First we went to the mall and let Mama do some shopping, then we went to Minneopia State Park and hiked down to the waterfalls.  It was a little muddy and slippery, but we sure had a great time.

After we got done hiking we decided to check out Sibley Park.  We have been to this park several times in the winter, but we had never made the trip in the summer.  It has tons of play areas to climb and slide on, and farm animals to pet and feed!

We had a great day!

Before leaving Mankato we decided to checkout a local Ice Cream shop called Mom and Pop's.  They have lactose free ice cream so Ellen and I got to enjoy it too!!

It was a great Mother's Day!
