Splash of Color

I am in MAJOR blog catch-up mode...Today's post is from last weekend...You heard me, a whole week ago.  A week is pretty close to eternity for me so you will have to forgive me if I miss any details...

Last weekend Mama ran the color dash, Daddy and I went with to cheer her on.  When I got there I was disappointed because I didn't really see much for color, but that sure did change quickly.  For those who don't know what a Color Dash is, you run a 5k and at each kilometer there are people who throw colored powder at you.  By the end of the run you are covered in color and you get to hang out and have a great time!

Here we are before the race.  You can buy extra color packets to play with which is why we are already colorful...

Here I am playing with some green powder while Mama was out running...

I found Mama before she finished the run so she let me run through the pink color station with her and we finished the run together!

I had a GREAT time!!!

After everybody was done running I wanted to go back and play in the pink powder, I tried rolling in it like the big kids but I had a hard time figuring out how to do it...either way, I was a mess, and it was great!

After the run we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch.  We sat on the patio along with all of the other Color Dash finishers.  I'm sure we looked pretty crazy!

This past weekend we went to the Lake for Memorial Weekend.  I don't think we got many photos because we were having so much fun.  Hopefully I get a chance to post about it before too long.

Have a great night,
Linden

What Have I Been Up To?

I know I have been MIA lately, but there are big changes happening in my house.

First and foremost, I got a Big Girl Bed!  Can you believe it, I get to sleep in a Big Girl Bed!  It is a pretty exciting change, and I am pretty proud of myself, and I LOVE to tell people about the fact that I am in a Big Girl Bed.  Now that I am a big girl I decided that I should be able to stay up later, Mama and Daddy don't seem to agree.  The other night I was awake until almost 10!!  Isn't my Big Girl Bed pretty?

Not only have I been busy at home, but I have also been busy at Daycare.  We did a special project for Mother's Day, I was in charge of ripping up the red paper.  Mama loved her special card, and I got to give her a flower too (she let me help her put it in water)!

We went to Grandma Carolyn and Papa Tim's house.  The weather was cold, but that didn't stop me from having a great time.  I found all of Auntie Megan's cars and babies...

and I got to take a bath in Grandma Carolyn's fancy tub!!  Not only does it have bubbles, but it also has lights.  Pretty sure it was the longest bath of my life.

Like I said, I have been a very busy girl.  One of the best parts of being in a Big Girl is that Mama and Daddy get to cuddle with me in bed before I go to sleep.  I love reading book before bed, and singing my goodnight song too.

This is going to be another busy weekend, I am sure there will be more stories to tell,

Just Like My Papas

I think it is safe to say, the snow is gone and summer is here!

This past weekend I was at the Lake for Mother's Day, it was a little cold but I decided to make the best of it.  Grandma Carolyn and Papa Tim are remodeling a house to add to the resort so that means there was a LOT of golf cart driving that needed to be done.  Good thing Papa Tim needed an assistant to help him haul his "big junk"!

Mama joked that there were only 2 important people at the lake this weekend, Papa Tim, and whoever was driving the golf cart!  I sure love working with my Papa Tim.

Today Mama drove to Rochester to go to Papa Bob's appointment (things are still going great!)  We have been storing Papa Bob's convertible over the Winter so Mama decided to drive it over to Rochester to take Papa Bob for a spin.  He LOVES his convertible rides...

I was pretty excited when Mama got home and let me play in Papa Bob's fancy car, although she wouldn't drive me anywhere, she said I still need to be in my car seat...I sure hope I get to go for a ride soon!

Today was such a great day, I love all of the fun outside time and extra playing now that summer is here.

Have a good night,

Daddy Fun!

Hey Everybody, Daddy is helping me blog tonight...hope you enjoy!

Last night I asked if we could eat outside again, because it has been SOOO nice out! But I was really surprised when Daddy said No! I was so confused because the grass was tuning white and it was really warm the other day.

Like any other 2 year old I asked why? Daddy said because it was snowing out. Then I asked the next logical question can we shovel???

That brings me to today. I woke up to Daddy snow blowing, I waved to him through the window. Then we got the car stuck in the road on the way to daycare.  when we finally got going we saw lots of tree that fell over because of the snow.

At daycare i put my snow pants on right away, no waiting for other kids to show up.  straight to shoveling!!!

after daycare I found out I was headed to the swimming pool. I'm excited to share with you that I learned a new trick! I can jump in the deep end all by myself and I don't even need Daddy to catch me.  Mama only took video so there are no pictures on today's post...sorry!

I hope you all made a good memory today!

Extreme Makeover: Cozy Coupe Edition

Holy Cow!  It has been a LONG time since I have been on here.  Mama wasn't feeling the greatest last week, and as you know, she controls the blog password so I wasn't able to get out here...

Anyways, this past weekend was A-MA-ZING!!  We were outside as much as we could be, it was terrific! We went for walks, played at the park, dug in the sandbox, rode my trike, we even ate dinner outside!!

Turns out, Mama and Daddy were busy too, they gave my Cozy Coupe a makeover!!

Here is the before picture, a pretty standard and highly faded Cozy Coupe:

Daddy helped Mama disassemble it, and Mama worked hard using Goo Gone to get all of the stickers off...

After that, Daddy took my car through the car wash!

And then it was on to the paint shop.

Mama added some pretty fun finishing touches...I have a racing stripe:

A fancy dashboard and white walls on my tires (I have no clue what that means):

And the best upgrade of all, they added a baby carrier on the back so Baby Katie has a place to ride!!!

Here is the finished product.  I was so excited to play in it today when I got home from daycare.  Now I can ride around with my baby and still have room to haul rocks and chalk in the back.

I can't wait to do some more playing,

Saturday with Sawyer

Another cold, rainy, crummy weekend.  The perfect recipe for a boring weekend at home with nothing to do...Except when Mama and Daddy have a weekend of fun in store!

The weather here in MN has been dreadful, I have been asking for weeks to go out for a walk or play in the backyard, but the answer is always the same, "It is TOO cold!"  This weekend, Mama decided to bring the fun inside, we met Mama's friend Erin and her son Sawyer for a fantastic play date.

We started our play date at The Blast inside the Eagan Community Center.  Sawyer, Daddy and I ran around and had a ton of fun on the big slides.  This one was the little baby slide, we decided to start out there, but quickly ran over to play on the big kid ones!

After playing so hard we worked up an appetite, Sawyer and I shared some Teddy Crackers and Raisins!

Once we were done playing on the slides and climbing we decided to check out the local library.  They had all sorts of great books to read, and they had a bunch of puppies there for us to pet.  Some of the puppies were REALLY big!

They also had a bunch of cool toys to play on.  They had a fishing boat, and an airplane, and this neat truck. Sawyer and I took turns driving the truck with all of the other kids.

After all of that playing we were pretty hungry so we headed over to Chipotle and had a great lunch.

It was a pretty fun afternoon!

What to do on a Rainy Day

Just a quick update before I get to today's blog post...Last week I started sleeping on a Map (Mama and Gretchen call it a Mat) at daycare, and even bigger news, I am FULLY Potty Trained!!!!!  The only part that stinks about that is that I don't get much for candy or treats anymore, but I am a big girl so I don't mind too much.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this weather is getting OLD!  All I want to do is go out and play, but nope, stuck inside!

Fortunately, there are lots of fun rainy day things to do, the other day Gretchen helped us make a craft, we made Cinderellas!  (Mama and Gretchen called it an Umbrella.)  Polka-Dots are my favorite, so that is how I decided to decorate mine!

Daddy found a new game for me to play, it is called Dominoes.  You find the one that has two blank sides, and then you have to start matching, so the next one would have one side that is blank, and then maybe the other side has 5 dots.  Then I found one with 5 dots on one side...you get the idea.  I am pretty good at it!

There you have it, hopefully the rain and snow stops soon so we can get outside and play!!
