Fun at the Fair!

Last week was fair week, and we had a BLAST!!!

If I had my way we would be at the fair all day, every day, but Mama and Daddy have to go to work so we had to make the best of each evening.

Ellen is too little for most of the rides, and they make Mama's tummy sick, but one ride we can all do together is the Ferris Wheel!

It might not be the fastest ride, but I love that we can all enjoy it, and I love getting to be able to see the whole fair at the top so I can plan my next ride!

Another thing that Ellen and I got to do together was play some games!

Ellen's favorite game was the duck pick, we both even won prizes!

Mama likes to walk through all of the buildings and look at all of the projects, baked goods, and vendors that are at the fair.  Looking at all the old cars made me think of Papa Bob so we took a picture of me standing next to one of them, I am even wearing my Papa shirt!

We were pretty lucky to see Steely and Stella walking around.  Ellen didn't want to take a picture with them, but I did, it is a tradition!

This year I got to go on even more rides, one of my favorite big kid rides was the spider!!!

Of course, I love the fair for more than just rides, I get to get my face painted too!!

There is one other ride that Mama will go on, she LOVES the big slide, and Ellen did too!  I can't wait for Ellen to be big enough to do all the big kid rides with me!

Daddy and I took Ellen on the truck ride, it was pretty slow for me but she thought it was fun.

Burt when it came to the flying ride, Ellen was out, it was just me and Daddy!!!

I was pretty excited to find my good friend Declan at the fair one night.  He and I got to go on some rides together.  Declan and I have been friends forever!!

This year I really liked the trampolines.  I have been learning a lot in gymnastics so I was doing really great with flips and I could jump REALLY high!

Most nights Mama and Ellen would leave before Daddy and I were done doing the rides.  It was fun getting to stay up late and do some extra rides.  One night, Daddy had a great surprise and he took me to the demo derby!!

It was so crazy seeing all of the cars crash into each other!  There were big ones and little ones and some of them were REALLY loud!

We had a great time, only 360 more days until the next fair!

The Countdown Is On!

Hey everybody!  I hope you are all having a great weekend! We are half way though August and that means 2 things...It is almost Fair time, and the school countdown is ON!!!!

I am so excited for school, I will be going to all day preschool and I can hardly wait.  There are 3 of us going to school in the fall so Gretchen decided it would be fun to make a school countdown calendar.

I love when we get to do projects with Gretchen, she comes up with the best ideas.  We got to make a school bus, and then put rings on it for each day until school.

Every morning when I wake up I get to take a ring off, and when all of the rings are gone I get to go to Preschool!!!

Of course, back to school means we HAD to go shopping and get all of my school supplies.  My teacher did a great job of putting the basics on a list, like a backpack, kleenex, crayons, and glue, but there were some important things that I think she missed.  I found a cute brush and clips that I thought I really needed.  I told Daddy, "I just really need these, what if I am working REALLY hard and my hair gets a tangle in it, I can use the brush to get the tangle out, and then I can clip my hair back so I can keep working really hard!"  Daddy only said yes to the clips.

I got a ton of great stuff, I can't wait to use my backpack and my new lunch box!!

Only 23 more days!
