Ice Cream Time

I'm back!  These pictures are from a couple weeks ago, but I thought I would tell you all about my first encounter with Ice Cream.

It was a REALLY warm day so mama thought ice cream would be a great treat.  Our local grocery store has a great lactose free section and mama found lactose free ice cream sandwiches!  An ice cream sandwich is a pretty great idea.  I have had peanut butter sandwiches, jelly sandwiches, PB&J sandwiches, ham sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, and even cracker sandwiches (mama puts PB between crackers, DELICIOUS!)  Ice Cream Sandwiches top the chart!

I REALLY liked the chocolate cookie part.  Although, the ice cream was REALLY cold!!

Brrr!!!

I didn't eat much of my ice cream sandwich which made Jake and Bella REALLY happy!

Have a good day!

On the Go

With all the warm weather we have been having I have gotten to play outside a lot!

Our neighbors have a really great play gym that they let me play on, I love climbing up the rock wall and going down the slide!  Sit back, press play, and enjoy my cuteness!

Hope you have a good week!

Product Testing

Hey Everybody!

This weekend we went to the lake to help Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Tim with the resort.  My job this weekend was to make sure the kids who will be coming in the next couple weeks have a great time.

My first job was to make sure the swing sets were up to par...I really liked the swings but the slide was my favorite.  This weekend I learned how to climb up a ladder all by myself!!

After the swing sets I moved on to helping Daddy with the water trampoline.  It was my job to squish all the air to the other side of the inner tube while he was filling it up.

The trampoline was a lot of fun but it was a little too bouncy when I was jumping on it on the grass.  Mama said the water was too cold for me to try it out on the lake.

The golf carts aren't for use by the resort guests, but I wanted to make sure they were in good working order too.  Grandpa Tim's notepad and pencils were in top shape.  Too bad my legs aren't long enough to reach the gas...

Next up, Sandbox Toys.  The boys at daycare were really envious today when I was telling them about all of the diggers and dump trucks and sand pails!

After my nap Daddy and I put the boat in the water.  Turns out, I was born to be on the water!

My favorite button was the horn...we went "beep beep beep!" all across the lake!

Mama and I wanted to test out the trails near the resort and once again, it was GREAT!  All the fresh air got to me though and I accidentally fell asleep.

My last product testing involved Lucy.  After our long walk we needed a snack.  Lucy really liked her new high chair.  We both really like eating raspberries and blueberries at Grandma Carolyn's house.

After a long day I had to put Lucy to bed early.  She is such a good sleeper.

I can't wait for more great weekends at the lake!

(On a side note, Grandpa Bob had his first Radiation Treatment today.  He handled it like a champ!!  Keep up the prayers!)

Pedi Party

Tonight as mama and daddy were packing for the weekend I found my finger nail clipper in my overnight bag.  It has been a while since I had a good pedi, so I decided to take it upon myself.

After my pedi I thought I would start Mama's weekend off right with one too!

I have to admit, I exaggerated above, I get a pretty amazing pedi about once a week (I don't want to give away any household secrets, but mama is pretty amazing!!)  I can't wait until I am old enough to go to the nail salon with mama, she says I am still too young...

Have a great weekend everybody!  Remember, it is Mother's Day this weekend, make sure you treat your mama's right!

PS... I have been working really hard on coming up with the perfect present for Mama. At first I was thinking a really great pedi. But then I thought, maybe a mani and a pedi. But then I thought, if I am going to do a mani and a pedi, I should probably throw in a massage and make the salon trip complete. But then I thought, how can a Mother's Day be complete without diamonds...And maybe a Mustang Convertible?  I wonder how many nights I am going to have to sleep through the night in order to convince Daddy to get all of this. But hey, Mama is worth it, right?

From the Heart

It has been nearly two weeks since I have posted and life sure has changed a lot since then.

Two weeks ago mama got a call from Grandma Nancy saying that Grandpa Bob was at the hospital because he wasn't feeling very well.  Mama rushed over to Rochester to be with Grandma and Grandpa.  After a bunch of tests Grandpa Bob was checked into the hospital.  By the end of the week it was decided that Grandpa Bob needed a brain biopsy, and early the next week he had been diagnosed with Brain Cancer.

Mama, Daddy and I, (and the rest of the family too), are very sad and it has been very difficult.

This past Saturday was the From the Heart walk in Owatonna.  It is a 5k walk/run that raises money for families in Steele County whose lives have been impacted by cancer.  Mama has taken part in it in the past, but this year we thought it was even more important.  The rain held off and we had a great time.  I really enjoyed cheering everybody on, I spent the whole race saying, "Woo Woo!!  GO! GO! GO! Woo Woo!!"  I even had my cool running shoes on!

While Grandpa Bob was in the hospital Mama spent a lot of time in Rochester to be there for Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Bob.  Daddy and I really missed Mama so we made a couple trips over to visit her.  While there I was a very good girl.  Here is a picture of me reading the paper with Grandpa.

I also made a special note for Grandpa Bob!  The doctors came in the next day and said it was very special, and didn't make Mama wipe it off.

It has been a crazy couple of weeks.  Mama and the rest of us are very sad and know that we need to make the most of the time we have left with Grandpa Bob.  A lot of people have asked what they can do to help, at this point just knowing that we have so many loving and supportive friends is the most important thing.

Remember to say "I love you!" to those you love, and give them a kiss each night.
