Happy Birthday To Me: Part 4

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

This is the last installment about my birthday weekend, but I have to say, it is my favorite part.  I got to spend my entire birthday weekend with great friends, and it was a blast!

Of course, being at the lake meant spending a lot of time outside.  A lot of my friends enjoyed paddle boarding, Mama even took some of my little friends for a ride.

We built plenty of sand castles...

well, the daddies did, but we helped smash them...

and LOTS of time was spent on the trampoline.

Here are some more fun lake pictures!

Of course, no weekend at the lake is complete without a boat ride, and we got to ride in style!

I always have a hard time staying awake on the boat, I just love how calm it is on the water.  I think Grandma Carolyn enjoyed the snuggle time too...

Linden and her friends sure did enjoy driving the pontoon.

We did get stuck in the middle of the lake for a bit.  Daddy and Linden were the only ones brave enough to jump in, the water was REALLY cold!!

Linden is such a lake girl, I hope one day I can be as cool as her!

I think everybody loved being on the boat, the big kids, and the little kids.

After my nap it was my turn to drive.  I really like honking the horn, but Daddy wasn't so impressed.

We had a great weekend, full of great friends, great laughs, and lots of memories.

Have a good night,
Ellen

Happy Birthday To Me: Part 3

Hey Everybody! Ellen Here!

We had to take a little break from the birthday pictures to celebrate Father's day, but I am back and ready to show you some cake!!

I don't know if you know this, but my Mama LOVES to bake cake!  So for my birthday she had a great time making all sorts of treats.

We had mini-cupcakes...

regular cupcakes...

cake pops...

cake stacks...

and of course, a big cake for me to eat!!  I loved the polka dots and all the bright colors.

At first I wasn't so sure what I was supposed to do.  Typically Mama makes me wait until she cuts my food up, but she wasn't there with a knife so I decided to give it a shot on my own.

Of course, just because it looks good doesn't mean it tastes good so I decided to start out with just a little taste...

and it was as good as it looked!

After that, I decided to DIG IN!!

I had a great time and all my friends loved watching me eat my cake too.

I was one happy birthday girl!!

Have a great night!

Breakfast on the Farm

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

This past weekend we had a blast and got to go have Breakfast on a Farm!!  At first I thought Mama was crazy when she mentioned it, how could breakfast on a farm be any different than breakfast at our house, but boy was I wrong!

Fist of all, we got to ride on a school bus!!!  Do you know how cool school buses are?

Sissy taught me that riding in the back of the bus is the most fun, I don't know what the front of the bus is like, but the back sure was great!  I think sitting with Sissy was the best part

Second of all, there were TONS of fun rides and games.  I was too little to go on the little train, but Sissy sure did look like she enjoyed it.
After that, we got to meet some REAL PRINCESSES!!!  They called themselves dairy princesses, they sure were nice to us!

Of course, we had breakfast while we were there and it was pretty tasty.  The pancake guys were really silly and kept throwing the pancakes at all of the guests.  They also had a bouncy house, craft projects, animals to pet, a wagon ride, and giant buckets of corn to dig in!

The way home we got to ride the bus again.  Not only did we get to ride on the bus, but we met our good friend Kaiya there so we got to ride together!

When we got home Sissy wanted to play dress-up, she asked Mama to make her a sash just like the Dairy Princesses, but she wanted to be a Lactose Free Princess.

Have a great week!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Everybody!  I hope you all had a great day!

We had a great day planned with Daddy today, we went to the races at Canterbury Park.  It was REALLY hot today so Ellen and I wore our cute dresses to help stay cool.  Before today I didn't know much about horse races, and I guess I still don't, but it was so much fun that I would love to go back.  Ellen was having such a great time she couldn't even stop cheering long enough to take a picture.

In addition to the races there were other fun things to do.  We got to see the Budweiser Clydesdale horses.  Mama said Papa Bob would have loved to see them.  I also got to go on a pony ride, but Mama said Ellen was too little.

They have a huge playground and parts of it were the perfect size for Ellen.  She really liked walking back and forth in the tunnels.

After all of that playing Ellen REALLY needed a nap, but not me!  Of course, Ellen's favorite place to take a nap is in Mama's arms.  Mama said she loves all of the cuddles from Ellen, but it was TOO hot, and she is getting too big!

While Ellen was sleeping the horses kept on running.  Daddy let me help pick some of the horses to bet on.  We won a couple times which was fun, though Mama was not lucky at all.  One of the horses we bet on was close to the finish line and ended up getting hurt.  They brought out an ambulance for the rider and the horse, I sure hope both are ok!

Today was Mama's first Father's Day without Papa Bob.  We sure do miss him a lot.  I really like to talk about him and think about what he is doing in Heaven.  Mama says it is good that we think about him a lot because it makes us happy and it means we love him.

I hope everybody had a great day!

Happy Birthday To Me: Part 2

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

No party is complete without great decorations, and Mama did not disappoint!

She picked a "You are my Sunshine" theme, because I am her sunshine!

Mama found these cute glasses and turned them into vases full of beautiful flowers.

Even Baby Katie and Baby Josie were in on the party celebration!

I loved my birthday banner...

and all of the bright colors!

The only part of the party that didn't match was this great shirt, "So many Bows, So little Hair!"  It was PERFECT!

Now, Mama was a little worried that the lake was going to be to cold for the babies, so she made this big water blob for us to play on!  The big kids liked running around and being crazy, and the babies enjoyed rolling around and having fun!

All the decorations in the world would mean nothing if we didn't have a house full of fun people.

We had 7 families, 24 people all under one roof.  Great friends made for a great weekend!

That's it for the night.

Happy Birthday To Me: Part 1

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

Did you hear that it was my birthday?  I am One!!  It was a great weekend celebration with lots of friends at the lake.  I wish I was old enough to remember it!

Mama likes to remember how cute I am so she decided to take some pictures in my birthday outfit.

I was ok taking pictures for a couple seconds, but I couldn't make it too easy on Mama!

I did decide to give Mama a couple good shots too.

Daddy came over after a bit and made sure to get a picture of me with Mama.  I may have been hard to catch by myself, but chilling with Mama always makes me happy.

Of course, no birthday would be complete without a meltdown.  Really, it wasn't my fault, Mama put that silly hat on my head.

Off to bed, look forward to more party adventures soon!
