I Got A Library Card!

One of the things we like to do most weeks is head to the Library for story time.  Each night has a theme to it, last week was bears, and this week is snow.  Once in a while they have special nights where there are crafts and activities to do after the story time, those are my favorite.

Last week Mama said it was a special night because I got to get my Library Card!!  I really like borrowing books from the library, it means I get new books to read all the time, but up until now Mama has had to use her card.  Not any more!

Our library is really great and has little carts that I like to push around and collect my books in.  I like to collect a LOT of books, but Mama and Daddy only let me bring home a couple at a time.

Once I picked out all of my books I got to bring them to the librarian to check out.  She scanned my card, and then she scanned my books.  The librarians are really nice and were excited that I am such a big girl.

Once she was done scanning everything she gave me my books and my card, and also a paper that says when my books have to be back.  Mama said she would help remind me.

Being three is pretty great so far!!

Go Fish!

A while ago Mama taught me to play a new game called Go Fish.  It is a pretty simple game, but we sure love playing it.

To play, each person first picks three cards.  I am pretty lucky and I usually get a pair right away.  That never happens for Mama!  Then you take turns asking the other people if they have the card that matches yours.  If they do, they give it to you and you make a match, otherwise they say "Go Fish" and then you get to pick a card, and if you are lucky, like me, you get a match!

Mama and I like to play it on Saturday morning in our jammies.  Mama and I like doing just about anything in our jammies.  And it is a great game because we can curl up on the couch and snuggle under our blankets while we play.

Here is one more picture, just because I am so cute!

Have a good night, and if you have a few extra minutes give Go Fish a try!

Guess What? I'm Three!!!

Guess what?!?!  It's my Birthday!!!  I'm THREE!!!!

I woke up bright and early, 5:38 to be exact, just so I would be able to enjoy as much of my birthday as possible!!  Right away I was excited to see that there were balloons all over the living room, and I immediately wanted to put on a princess dress, but then I found where Mama and Daddy were storing the presents, so I just HAD to open them up!

I got a new fairy barbie, some new princess jammies that I got to wear ALL DAY, a new game and a new puzzle!

After presents Mama made me and Daddy eggs and toast and we got to eat them in the living room at my little table.

Mama and Daddy kept me home from daycare so we could do all sorts of fun things.  I started the morning off by watching Dora...

and cuddling with Jake!  Bella didn't want to cuddle with me...Oh well.

After Dora we got packed up to go to my Birthday Surprise!  We had to drive for a long time, but when we got there I found out I got to go Snow Tubing!!!

The hill was REALLY big!  And it was pretty cold out, but we were ready to have a great time.

When we got there Mama went a little overboard and put a LOT of clothes on me.  I had three shirts, three pairs of pants, my snow pants, a winter jacket, plus my hat and gloves!  After we went down the hill one time we came back in and Mama put Daddy's extra neck warmer on me and bought me a pair of goggles!  I could barely move!

Like I said, the hill was REALLY big so to get to the top we got to ride on a magic carpet that brought us to the top!  I had a hard time standing on it so I had to ride next to Mama or Daddy.

Once we got to the top all we had to do was sit down in our tubes and enjoy the ride!  They let Mama and Daddy and me link our tubes together so we could go down at the same time.  Some of the time I just went with Mama, and others just with Daddy, but most of the time we all went together.

And guess what?  I even got a ticket to put on my jacket!!  It was a pretty great d

After all that playing outside I sure was wiped out.  I decided to take a quick nap on the way home to get some extra energy.

And after a little shopping it was time for supper at Red Lobster!  After I ate they brought me a giant chocolate chip cookie that was filled with Chocolate!!!  And they sang Happy Birthday to me and watched me blow my candle out.

And I got to touch a lobster!!  I told Daddy that these are the looking lobsters, not the eating ones, he didn't look so sure...

When we got home we played a quick game of Hi-Ho Cherry-O before I had to head to bed.  This isn't the new game I got, that one takes too long so we decided to play this one.  I won!!

Here is one last picture of me on my birthday!!

I can't wait to see my friends tomorrow at daycare and tell them about all the fun I had!

There's a Whole Lot of Princess Going On

I don't know if you heard, but I LOVE princesses!  Christmas was a blast because I got a TON of princess gear!

The only thing that can make playing house more fun is bringing princesses into the mix.  This is my new Rapunzel doll, and she loves sleeping in my cozy baby bed.

The other thing I love these days is coloring and puzzles, and once again, PRINCESSES!!  I love these big coloring pages, but they drive Daddy crazy.  I like to spread them out so I can see all of my pictures and decide what to color next, the next thing I know, he is stacking them all back up.  My princess puzzle book is pretty fun too.  Each page has a princess puzzle on it!

I don't want anybody to think that it is all fun and games around here, we do plenty of reading as well.  Auntie Heidi went to Disney World over Christmas and not only did she find a Sofia the First book, but she also met Sofia and had her write me a note in it!!  (Mama said it was OK for Sofia to write in my book because she is a real princess)

Of course I no girl can be a princess without a rack full of dresses!  I don't think Daddy made the rack quite big enough though...I am not sure where I am going to fit more...

This is me in my new Aurora dress from Christmas.

Turns out, it won't be too long before I have another princess in the house to play dress-up and house with.  Mama is having a baby and the early prediction says I am going to have a baby sister at the end of June!  Mama is 16 weeks and has been feeling great.

I am not completely sure what is going to happen in 6 months, but for now I like reading books to Mama's baby, and telling Daddy that I am going to have a baby too.

Have a great weekend!
