Lots to be Thankful For

Hey Everybody!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.  I am finally recovered and have slept off my Turkey Coma.  I had a pretty busy Thanksgiving weekend.

As you already know, it started off at Auntie Wendy's house, and then after lunch we drove to see Grandma Carolyn, Papa Tim and Great Grandma Joan.  Every year in Alexandria they have a little festival to welcome the holidays so we decided to go down and check it out.  There was music, cookies, hot cocoa, reindeer, and even SANTA!!  He was pretty neat, I told him I want a dolly for Christmas, he said he would see what he could do  :-)

The highlight of the night is when Santa and Mrs. Claus come out and flip the switch to turn on all of the Christmas Lights in the downtown.  It was beautiful. I LOVE Christmas Lights!!

Saturday was another day spent in the car, but instead of heading home we were heading to Duluth.  Mama and Daddy met in Duluth and they really love it there.  We stayed at a really fun hotel that had a HUGE water park in it!!  I really liked going down the slides and playing with my Grandma Carolyn and Auntie Heidi.

The main reason we went to Duluth was to see the Bentleyville Tour of Lights.  Mama knew I was going to love it, like I said, I LOVE Christmas Lights!!

It was pretty neat having all of my grandparents there to enjoy the lights with me (Auntie Heidi, Mama and Daddy came too)

There were some fun characters there, I really liked the penguin.

And guess what!?!?  Santa made the trip too!!!

It was really cold and the line was pretty long.  By the time we got up there I was pretty grumpy and didn't want to sit on his lap, besides, he already knew what I wanted...

I loved all of the lights and the pretty music and I loved having my favorite people all together in one place.

To end a great weekend we made a quick pit-stop on the way home to see Auntie Megan.  She is working down south right now so it has been a few months since I have seen her.  I was so busy playing fetch with her dog and showing her all the new stuff I have learned that I forgot to get a picture with her.  Luckily, she will be home for Christmas!

Have a good night,
Linden

Turkey Makes Me Tired

Happy Thanksgiving!!

It has been a great day so far. We left the house early and spent the morning with Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Bob, Auntie Wendy, Auntie Missy, Cousin Tyler and Auntie Heidi, along with Mama's aunt, uncle and cousins.

Cousin Tyler has a couple little friends who visit him so he had lots of toys to share with me, we had a great time.

After a big meal we hit the road again and now we are on our way to see Grandma Carolyn, Grandpa Tim and Great Grandma Joan.

Enjoy your thanksgiving and remember how many blessings you have in your life.

I am thankful you are all in my life,
Linden

Quiet Time

When the weather turns cold Mama gets all crafty and this time, it was all about me!

Mama made this cute book out of felt and it turned out pretty great, the perfect combination of fun and educational.

Here are the first two pages...

Page number 1 is a shape matching page...

Page number 2 is a dress up doll.  I really like the cute little bed that she gets tucked into, and the dresser and closet to hold all of the clothing!

How cute are the little pockets on the shirt and pants?!?!

The next page is a super fun car page.  I will admit, I was confused why Mama added a car page to a Quiet Book...It is REALLY hard to play cars AND be quiet...

Here are the next pages...An outdoor theme for Daddy!

The Lady Bug spots come off so I can practice doing snaps.  I really like the googly eyes and playing with the wings.

The camping page comes with a bunch of finger puppets!  Mama likes the beavers funny teeth...I like the teddy bear.

Mama made the tent open so I can store them in there.

Another set of pages...

The flower page helps me practice doing buttons.  I am not very good at them yet, but I like to try.

And another page with buttons, only this page is for counting!

Mama made this cute bag for me to carry my book in!

I haven't had a lot of chances to play with it yet, but so far I love it!

Until next time,
Linden

Wardrobe Change...

A lot has been going on the past few days, but I feel like I have a little blogging to catch up on before I get to that...

The biggest change has come in the form of a wardrobe change on my part...I am no longer the user of diapers...I am the proud owner of Pull-Ups!!

It has been a week now and I am doing great!  I love the feeling of being a big girl, and Mama is so proud of me (although, I do catch her trying to pretend she isn't sad that I have grown up so much...)

Gretchen has been so great in helping me with potty training; I can't wait to go back tomorrow and show her how good I am doing!!

I need to head to bed, but rest assured, I will be back!

My Fort

Forts. Are. Awesome.

Pretty sure my post could be complete at this point, but Mama insisted I add some pictures...

Daddy decided to be the coolest Daddy ever and moved the furniture around just so we could make a REALLY cool fort!!

I couldn't wait to move all my favorite toys into my new fort!

Daddy and I had a great time. Mama even joined us in the fort, although, daddy was having such a great time that he didn't want to get out and take any pictures (and Mama said I am too young to operate her good camera...)

Unfortunately, Mama said we had to move the couches back to their normal place...it was a lot of fun, but it wasn't very practical.

Maybe some day soon we can make a fort again!

(In case you were wondering...Daddy didn't go crazy and move the furtniture just to drive Mama crazy...We were cleaning the carpet and a fort just seemed like a great idea as we waited for everything to dry...Either way, we had a great time!)

I Voted!

Happy Election Day!

I don't know if you guys know this, but today is election day.

I really don't know what that means...but here is what I have learned.

First of all, it is very important to dress the part.  Good thing mama found me an official Team USA dress!

Once you get dressed up, you get to go to church!  I really like church so I was pretty excited about this part, unfortunately daddy dropped me off at daycare before he went to church...he thought I would find it boring...do you not sing songs and color when voting?

Mama did let me take part in the vote for dinner tonight.  Our choices were Beef Stew or Roasted Chicken.  I won't tell you what I voted for, but Chicken won, and I was really happy!

At the end of election day I got a special surprise from Mama, she had red and blue Jello!  Mama and daddy kept discussing what it meant if I ate one faster than the other...not really sure what that was about, but it sure was delicious!

The one thing I want to change for Election Day 2013 is my right to vote for Bed Time.  I think I am going to lobby to get that added to the family constitution...Who is with me?

Vote Early and Vote Often,
Linden
