SIttin' Pretty

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

We had a pretty great day today.  I decided to sleep in for Mama so she was pretty happy.  After that we called up Grandma Nancy to ask if we could come over and have lunch with her and Papa Bob!  To make the day even more fun, we picked Linden up from daycare early so she could come with us too.  Mama, Linden and Papa Bob had Chipotle, and I got to have a bottle from Grandma Nancy!  I gave her a couple smiles before we had to go home, Mama said that Linden and I both needed a nap.

Anyways, are you enjoying this beautiful sunshine as much as I am?  Mama keeps saying that we need to go outside and enjoy the nice weather as much as we can because it is going to get cold.  Not sure what that means but if a stroller ride is involved, I am in!

Stroller rides have gotten even more fun lately, Mama has started letting me sit up!  Last month when I was just a little girl I had to lay down, but I am getting pretty good at holding my head so now I can sit, even though I do tip over a little sometimes!

Linden is pretty nice to share her stroller with me, she likes to ride her bike or run along the kid path (That is the gutter on the side of the street.  We don't have to hold Mama or Daddy's hand if we are on the kid path.)  But when she gets tired she likes to hop on the front and get a ride.

Mama likes going for walks to get her steps in for the day and Linden and I love to enjoy the ride.

Off to enjoy some more sun!

SCFF: Rides, Food and Fun Part 3

There is so much to see and do at the fair, I am glad we went most nights in order to take it all in.

I really enjoyed checking out the fire truck with Daddy and Ellen.  They have all sorts of neat equipment to look at and the firemen are really nice to talk to.

The petting zoo area is always a highlight.  They had pigs, reindeer, goats, a donkey and a bunch more.  They even had a lemur mama and her baby.  The baby lemur was so tiny he could climb out of the cage and back in, the guy said it was ok because the baby never goes too far away from his mom, he must be a good listener like me!

Even the midway has tons to do besides the rides.  Ellen spent most of her time at the fair snuggling with Mama while Daddy and I were busy and on the go.

We met up with my good friends, Anna, Colin, Caden, and Declan.  It was great seeing everybody.

I got to play one game this year so I picked the fishing game, and guess what, I won!!!  I got a really cute stuffed animal to bring home, I sure was lucky!

Mama, Ellen and I spent some time playing on the tractors.  We found this big snow blower and thought Papa Tim needed it.  We decided to wait to go in the campers until Daddy got there.  I really liked looking at the campers and decided that we needed to buy one so I could live in it.  Mama said I don't have enough money in my piggy bank, maybe next year.

Mama likes walking through all of the buildings and looking at all of the projects that people entered.  We went into the classic car building and I found a car just like Papa Bob's convertible!!  I wanted to drive it home, but the guy at the door said we couldn't.

One night while we were eating dinner Steeley and Stella were walking around giving hugs and taking pictures.  I only wanted my picture with Stella.  It was so cool getting to meet them!

Well, that is all for our fair adventures until next year.  I can't wait!

SCFF: Rides, Food and Fun Part 2

Hey guys!  Ellen here to tell you about all of the great food I saw at the fair.  I can't wait until next year when I get to try some!!!

I got to go on my first ride this year, we all went on the Ferris Wheel.  Linden told me how great the rides are and she was right!!  I got kind of hungry from all of the going round and around though.  It was a great place to stop and enjoy some food.

Papa Bob's birthday was on Sunday of fair week so we decided to get him some taffy for his birthday!!  Linden picked out the taffy colors that the lady put in the box.  Papa Bob sure did love it!

Linden, Mama and Daddy enjoyed lots of different fair food.  Corndogs, greek kabobs, french fries, pork sandwiches, cotton candy, and even snow cones!!  Everything looked SOO good!

All this writing has me tired, I think I will take a nap.  Stay tuned for part 3 coming soon!

SCFF: Rides, Food and Fun Part 1

Another week has come and gone and all the vendors have officially left the fair :-(

It was another great year full of all sorts of adventures.  My absolute favorite part of the fair is the rides!!  We were at the fair a lot last week because I got a MegaRide Pass so I could go on the rides as many times as I wanted all week.  Here are a bunch of pictures from the week.

It was great walking through the midway and meeting a whole bunch of our friends.  Here is a picture of Anna, Daddy and me on the carousel.

This year I was big enough to go on the bungee jumper!!  I saw it on the first day but I didn't bring any money so I had to come back after getting some out of my piggy bank.  I was so excited!!

The nice lady had to help me jump because I was just barely heavy enough, but I sure loved flying into the air!

Aunt Heidi came over one night to hang out with me.  I thought the carousel might be too fast for her so I picked the bench for us to ride on so she wouldn't get scared.

Mama doesn't like going on most of the rides, she said that they make her tummy yucky, but she went on the big slide with me.  We had a great time!

I'm still not quite big enough to go on all of the rides, which bummed me out.  I REALLY wanted to go on this ride, but the guy running it said I was too little.  I am 38 inches, but you have to be 48 to go on this one, maybe next year.

Stay tuned for more of our fair adventures!

A New Look For Linden

The other day Ellen told you that the next post would be about going to the fair, but I thought there was something more important to tell you.  I got my ears pierced!!!!

A few weeks ago I told Mama that I was ready to get my ears pierced.  She warned me that it would hurt like getting a shot, but I didn't care, I was ready!

After we left the fair for the day Mama and Daddy told me we were going to go do something very special.  When I heard what it was I was SOO excited! Here is a picture of me in the car on the way!

Picking which ones I wanted was really hard, but I finally settled on blue sparkly stars.

Ellen was pretty sad that she didn't get to have hers done, Mama sad she has to wait until she is a big girl like me.

First she drew dots on my ears so she knew where to put them.

And then she pierced them. I cried a little because it hurt for a minute. But then they felt better.

This is the first picture EVER of me with Pierced Ears!!!!  I was so happy!

Because I am such a big girl now I got to pay all by myself.  I also got a pretty bracelet that matched my earrings!

Here I am in front of the store  :-)

My special treat on the way home was yummy cotton candy from the fair.  Mama said I was such a big girl and she was so proud of me.

That's all for today.  We'll post about the fair soon!

I Didn't Even Get a Princess Bandaid

Ellen Here!

I woke up bright and early this morning and decided that instead of taking an early nap I should stay up and play.  Mama and Daddy got a play mat out for me, I really like looking at the mirror although my friend isn't very fun, she just copies me a lot.  I like my mat and love smiling and playing on it.

Little did I know things were going to go down hill from there.  Mama got me in my car seat so I assumed we were headed to Target again, but we ended up at the clinic.  I really like my doctor and he was pretty impressed with me.  I am up to 11 pounds 11 inches and 23.5 inches long!!  I am cooing, smiling, and holding my head up like a big girl.  Once my doctor left his nurse came back in, Linden later told me that this is a REALLY bad thing!  I got my first shots today, 3 of them!!  Mama had a bottle ready for me so that made it better, but I still wasn't happy.

When I got home I was even more bummed, Linden told me that she gets princess bandaids, I just got boring yellow and orange ones.  :-(

The day did get better from there, after lots of snuggling with Mama we picked Linden up from daycare and then headed to the fair.  We'll have to post about that later!

Have a good night!

I Think I'm Going to Need a Hitch

New Flash!!!  Only 3 more days until the Fair!!!!!!!

While I wait patiently for the fair to start I have been spending a lot of time playing outside and enjoying the beautiful weather.  I really like splashing in my pool, riding my bike, and playing with chalk.

I was having a pretty hard time deciding what I should play the other day so I decided to play all three at once!!!  Riding my bike in my swim suit was the easy part, but carrying the chalk around wasn't so easy so I decided to fill up my wagon and start hauling.

It was kind of hard holding onto the handle of the wagon while I was riding my bike, do you think they make a wagon hitch?

Have a great week!

Going to the Lake

Another week has come and gone and Summer is winding down.  Last weekend we had a great time at the lake.  The weather was beautiful and we did lots of playing on the water!!

I got a new life jacket this summer because I have grown so much!  Ellen is still too little for my old one but next summer it will fit her great!!

Grandma Carolyn and Papa Tim got some stand-up paddle boards and I had a great time playing with them.  I have gone on them with Daddy and Mama before, but I decided this weekend to try it on my own!

I got to spend a lot of time with my Tubin' Buddy, Hannah!  Normally she has a lot of friends at the lake with her, but this time she was alone.  We got to hang out with her and her dad a lot, we went tubing, played on the water trampoline, hung out at the swing set, and played at the beach!  Hannah is really good at braiding my hair, I sure love it!!

It was a really busy weekend, and like all weekends at the lake, we had to leave.  I tried really hard to play the whole way home, but I didn't last, I did stay awake longer than Ellen though!!

Can't wait to see what adventures are in store this weekend!
