Updates to my Ride

It is almost the weekend and it looks like it is going to be a great one!  With all this beautiful weather we have had I have been spending a LOT of time on my bike.

If you remember back to last spring, I got a new bike and I have been loving it ever since.

This year I made it my goal to ride my bike without training wheels and thanks to all sorts of great help from Gretchen and my friends at daycare, I did it!!

It is pretty amazing getting to ride without training wheels.  It took a few weeks, but I have gotten so good that I now get to ride my bike to the park and around the block!

As you can see, not only did I lose my training wheels, but I also gained some great streamers.  I have wanted streamers ever since I got a bike and this year Mama said that I could buy them.  Did you hear that?  Not only did I get to get streamers, but I got to use my OWN money!!  It was great, I felt like such a big girl at Target.

Hope you all have a fun weekend planned,
Linden

Color Dash!

Today was a pretty crazy day, Mama and I did the Color Dash!!

Mama told me that we had to wear white shirts to start the race, I didn't think it made much sense, but I agreed...

Then things started getting more fun, Mama found some fairy wings for me to wear!

And then the fun began!!  There was color everywhere!  At first, I thought I would run the whole thing with Mama, but I was pretty happy that she decided to bring the stroller because it wasn't long before I was too tired to run.  I did a pretty good job, I ran through all of the color stations, and we had a great time!

Mama even colored my hair!

After the race we were a mess!

Even Ellen got in on the fun!

Mama bought extra color packets and we got to throw it into the air and all over each other.

Our good friend Kaiya came down to cheer us on!  She said I was too messy!

Afterwards, Ellen was pooped!  She had so much fun that she couldn't take it any more.

Isn't she so sweet when she sleeps?

Have a great weekend!

July 4th Fun

Last year, Ellen was just a tiny baby for the 4th of July.  This year she was much bigger and we had a great time!

We spent a TON of time at the lake, playing in the water, jumping on the trampoline, and running around on the golf carts.

Every year, we get cute outfits for the 4th of July, this year I got to pick out this pretty dress, all by myself.

And I helped Mama pick out this cute skirt for Ellen!  Mama tried getting a picture of us together, but Ellen would NOT let that happen.  She doesn't like to sit still very much, not sure why Mama thought she would sit for a picture.

Each year, I get to hang out with my great friends and be on their pontoon for the boat parade.  This year it was a mermaid theme, and I got to be a mermaid too!!  Grandma Carolyn surprised me with my very own mermaid tail.  It is just a training tail, until I learn to swim and the Mer-king gives me my real tail, but that is ok, I can walk in mine and I think it is pretty great.

As usual, I spent plenty of time tubing with my friends.  They are so nice and make sure to help keep me safe.

Great Grandma Joan came over and we got to play a new game together.  Grandma Carolyn got a new game called Pickle the Pirate, and it was a ton of fun!!  Grandma Joan and I played, and I won!

Daddy was pretty happy that we got to spend lots of time on the boat.  Ellen sure loves driving, and honking the horn!!  I'm not sure why Daddy showed her where that button is...

Of course, the highlight of the weekend was the firework!!!!  This year, Mama let me stay up until after the fireworks were done.  Ellen had to go to bed and Mama drove over with her when it got close, but Daddy and I got to take the boat!  Ellen LOVED the fireworks, she giggles and squealed.  The rest of us thought they were pretty great too!

After the show was done, Grandma Carolyn, and I got to go to the resort and make s'mores.  It was WAY past my bedtime, which made it taste even better!

There you have it, we had a great time, with great people.

Just keep Swimming

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

Summer is in full swing, and that means it is time to SWIM!!!

The other day Daddy got out the little baby pool for Linden and me to play in.  We really like splashing around and playing in the water, we especially love playing together!!

While the baby pool at our house is fun, what we REALLY love to do is go to the country club pool.  There are actually two pools, a kiddie pool, and the big pool.  I prefer hanging out in the kiddie pool.  Mama has me sit in my floatie to keep the big kids back a little, but I can touch the bottom so I can still walk around!

Linden likes the big pool better, she is much more brave than me.  She took some swim lessons this summer and is doing a really great job at swimming!

While swimming is pretty great, I still really love hanging out by the pool and relaxing in the lounge chairs.

Or walking around and playing with all of the pool toys, on the pool deck, of course.

I really love Linden's goggles, though they are pretty tricky to get off and on.

Linden loves the pool so much that I know I better just get used to it because we are going to be spending a lot of time here.

Enjoy the great weather!
Ellen
