Happy 85th Birthday Great Grandpa Glen!!

Another great weekend with Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Tim at the lake!!  I got to play in the sun, swing, and have playtime with everybody!  Auntie Megan and her boyfriend Tommy and his two boys and their dogs even came, it was a full house!

Today was a pretty exciting day because Great Grandpa Glen turned 85!  We had a really great party for him to celebrate.

Great Grandpa Glen is always really excited to see me, and I was in a great mood and pretty excited to see him too!

Everybody went over to Great Grandma Joan's new place so we could see her new apartment (it is pretty nice!!) and then we had a party for Great Grandpa in one of the dining rooms.  We got him balloons, and a cake and chicken!

Here is a picture of me sitting with Great Grandpa, I know I don't look very excited, but I was really happy to see him.

It was a pretty fun day.  Great Grandpa really enjoys watching me play on the floor and roll around.  He couldn't believe that I am able to sit all by myself!

I am not exactly sure how old 85 is, but Happy 85th birthday Great Grandpa, and I hope you have 85 more!

Swimming with the Fishes

So, I just realized that I never told you about the rest of my weekend with Hailey at the lake.

It was a pretty busy weekend, Hailey went kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, tubing, surfing, water skiing, and body surfing.  She had a GREAT time!  In between all of those activities she took some time out and went swimming with me!

I don't know how to swim yet (mama didn't sign me up for swim lessons this summer...) so in order to keep up with Hailey I got to swim in this fun floaty thing.  It was really great, it has leg holes so it holds me up and I can kick my legs and play.  I really liked splashing in the water and feeling the sand under my feet.  Isn't it fun, it has a sun cover and looks like a fish!

Too bad the lake was so cold, I only got to go swimming for a little bit.

I can't wait to go back to the lake this weekend!

Sittin' Pretty

Another busy weekend!!

Mama and daddy had a wedding to go to this weekend and they decided to have auntie Heidi babysit!  Heidi came over around lunch time on Saturday and mama and daddy took off.  It was a pretty fun weekend.

Grandma and Grandpa came over and had dinner with Heidi and I, they took us out to Applebees!  I got to show off my amazing eating skills, I REALLY like to eat real food.  There was pretty crazy storm that night, Jake was REALLY scared, I was brave though!  Heidi let me play in my pool and we went shopping together.  It was a lot of fun.

Auntie Heidi also taught me a new trick, she taught me how to sit.

I have been trying to figure it out for a little while now, but Heidi showed me some new tricks and now I have it nailed, well, almost.  Sometimes I get distracted and I fall over, but that is Ok, it is still a pretty good trick!

Have a good night!

Green Beans

I have been having a lot of fun over the past few weeks trying some new foods, I have had sweet potatoes, squash and green beans, mama said that pretty soon I am going to get to try fruit, if it is as good as the rest of the stuff, I can't wait!

Tonight was pretty exciting, mama, daddy and I all had green beans for dinner!  I really like green beans and I eat them up really fast.  Mama tried taking a picture of me after eating green beans, too bad the flash was being weird so it didn't turn out too great, but none the less, you can tell I really liked them.

I don't know what was wrong with the green beans that mama and daddy were eating.  Mama said she got them fresh from the garden, but I think she needed to stir them some more, they looked really hard, and they were long and not squished like mine were.  I hope they don't get sick...

Time for bed, mama and daddy are going to a wedding tomorrow and auntie Heidi is coming over to watch me!  It is going to be a fun weekend!

Happy Birthday!!

So, I know I promised I would tell you more about last weekend tonight, but I had to change topics because today is my Birthday!!  That's right, I am 6 months old today, aren't I a big girl??

I have learned a lot over the last 6 months.  Mama and daddy have started giving me all sorts of new foods. I have tried Rice cereal (that made my tummy feel icky), Oatmeal cereal (much better than rice), sweet potatoes, squash and green beans.  I really like eating big kid food, everything tastes so good.  Mama decided to give me a frozen peach the other day because I am getting teeth and she thought it would feel good. I wasn't so sure about it, it was REALLY cold.  The worst part is that it was hard to hold on to.  Mama thought it was funny, I didn't...

One of my favorite things to do besides chew on everything is play in my bouncy seat.  This picture is from a couple of months ago, my feet touch the ground now so I can jump and bounce, I even figured out how to turn the seat so I can play with all of the toys!

Another thing I like doing is going to visit my grandparents in Rochester and Alexandria.  Here is a picture of me on the swing set at Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Tim's house.  I have a lot of fun every time I see them.

I wanted to show you how big I have gotten so I took another picture of me next to my monkey.  The one on the left is from when I was 3 months old, and the one on the right is from today.  I have grown a lot!

Right now I am working on sitting up, it is a lot of fun because it makes it a lot easier to watch the kids at daycare play.  Look how good I am at it!

Daddy and mama took me to Boston's tonight for my birthday dinner, although all I got to eat was another bottle so it wasn't all that exciting.  Maybe I will convince mama to give me fruit soon.  The one exciting thing about going to restaurants is that I get to sit in a high chair.

Being 6 months old is pretty great, I wonder what I will learn before I am 1?

Take me out to the ball game

Another fun filled weekend for the Aarsvold family!

I was a little worried about our weekend plans on Friday, it rained a LOT!  I was at daycare for most of it and we had to stay inside all day.  I was one of the brave kids, I don't get why some of the kids were so afraid of the thunder.

Mama and daddy both picked me up from daycare (normally only mama does) so I knew we were going to be doing something great.  I noticed as we pulled away from Gretchen's that we weren't on our way home and I was right, we were going to pick up Hailey, mama's BBBS little.

Mama and daddy decided to take Hailey and I to our first Twins baseball game.  Here is a picture of daddy and I at the game, we both had our Twins shirts on but you can't see mine...

The weather was perfect, no rain, the perfect temperature and slightly cloudy skies.  Like I said, it was the first baseball game for both Hailey and I so mama and daddy had to explain the rules to us, baseball can get confusing...None the less, we had a great time.  Here is a picture of Hailey with the field in the background.

Of course I had to get a picture with mama and Hailey so we had one of us girls, but daddy wasn't fast enough at taking the picture and all of the people made it really hard to stay focused for long.

Even though the Twins lost it was still a lot of fun.  I hope I get to go to another game really soon.  The best part about the night was that it was only the start to a fun filled weekend.

Until next time,
Linden

The many faces of Linden

You know you are something pretty big once you can refer to yourself in third person  :-)

If you remember back to April you may recall that I was a stinker for my 3 month pictures.  It isn't that I don't like getting my picture taken, I just didn't want to make it too easy, I heard models are supposed to be high maintenance...

Betsy Cole didn't disappoint, no matter how difficult I tried to be she got some great pictures.  Here are some of my favorites...

The many faces of Linden...

I don't know how she caught this smile...

Look at me doing tummy time, I am such a big girl...

Here is a picture of my cute baby toes...

I liked the part when I got to wear my Easter dress, it was REALLY easy to hide my smiles and I got to eat it!

Look at my big blue peepers...

I was pretty happy that she caught some of my silly faces too...

All in all, I had a pretty great time and I love the end result!

Have a good night,
Linden
