Pool Party

This summer went by really fast.  We didn't get a ton of time to go to the pool, but we tried to make the best of the weather and enjoy it as much as we could.  It was Ellen's first summer and she seemed to enjoy it as much as I do, I can't wait until she is swimming just like me.

Ellen seemed to like hanging out on the lounge chairs with Mama.

But Mama made sure to get her in the water to splash around a little bit each time.  Mama found my old swimsuits and they sure did look cute on Ellen!

One of the best parts of going to the pool is getting to hang out with good friends.  It seems like no matter when we go there is always somebody we know there!  Here is a picture of my good friend Kaiya and me.

We like to splash around and play in the water together.

Auntie Heidi surprised me one day and picked me up to go to the pool.  We forgot my life jacket so I had to play in the water without it.  I had a lot of fun pushing off of the wall and swimming back and forth between Heidi and Daddy.  I have a hard time keeping my face out of the water, but Daddy said I was doing a great job.
I sure am glad that Mama packs a swim bag for us when we go to the pool.  We like to have chips and hotdogs for dinner, but Mama always tries to make sure to pack a healthy snack for me to share with my friends.  All that swimming sure makes me hungry!!

After our snack it is back in the pool!  I can't get enough of the water!

Auntie Heidi had a great time playing with me, but she made sure to get plenty of snuggle time in with Ellen too.

Most of the time I like to play with Daddy in the pool, but every once in a while Mama has Daddy sit with Ellen so she can play with me too.

It was a great summer.  I am so glad we have an indoor pool to play at now that the weather is getting cool and the outdoor pool is closed.

I can't wait to have more fun with my friends!!
Linden

3 months!

Hey guys!  Linden here.  Did you know that my baby is getting really big!?!  She turned 3 months the other day, well, it was a lot of days ago, but we have been busy so today will have to do for the blog post.

Ellen has been really busy lately and she has gotten even more fun.  She started daycare so I get to hang out with her all day which is pretty great.  Mama says she is a great eater, and she is sleeping through the night off and on.  She loves to play pat-a-cake and sing songs, she also loves to watch me play and watch Mama make silly faces.

Mama has been taking pictures of Ellen each month to show how big she has gotten, and this month she took a picture of me too!

It has been a busy day so I am off to bed!

Bathin' Beauties

Ellen Here!

I don't know why, but Mama thinks I need a lot of baths, I have one almost every day!!!

When I was just a little girl I had to take a bath in the sink, it was pretty silly if you ask me.  Mama had a fun chair for me to sit in though so it was ok.

Now that I am a big girl I have graduated to the bath tub, and recently I got to start taking baths with my Big Sister Linden!!  Linden helps Mama by cleaning my toes and my belly.  I still get to sit in my fancy chair so Linden doesn't tip me over.

Linden gets all sorts of toys, cups, barbies, and bubble bath, I wonder when I will be big enough for those?

Off to take another bath,
Ellen

Hanging Out at Daycare

Ellen Here!

I know I am a week late, but I thought I would tell you about my first day of daycare!  Linden told me all about it and I was really excited.

Mama had to go back to work last week so I started daycare.  Mama was pretty sad to leave me, but she knew I would have a great time, and she was right!!

There are a bunch of kids at daycare, and they are all really nice and like to play with me.  I love getting to hang out with Linden all day and she makes sure I have a ton of fun.  Gretchen said I am a great eater and a good listener.  I am still learning to take good naps at daycare, but Gretchen said that it will come with practice.

Mama looked back at the blog for Linden's first day and realized that she sent us to daycare for the first time in the same outfit!!

Have a great week!

SIttin' Pretty

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

We had a pretty great day today.  I decided to sleep in for Mama so she was pretty happy.  After that we called up Grandma Nancy to ask if we could come over and have lunch with her and Papa Bob!  To make the day even more fun, we picked Linden up from daycare early so she could come with us too.  Mama, Linden and Papa Bob had Chipotle, and I got to have a bottle from Grandma Nancy!  I gave her a couple smiles before we had to go home, Mama said that Linden and I both needed a nap.

Anyways, are you enjoying this beautiful sunshine as much as I am?  Mama keeps saying that we need to go outside and enjoy the nice weather as much as we can because it is going to get cold.  Not sure what that means but if a stroller ride is involved, I am in!

Stroller rides have gotten even more fun lately, Mama has started letting me sit up!  Last month when I was just a little girl I had to lay down, but I am getting pretty good at holding my head so now I can sit, even though I do tip over a little sometimes!

Linden is pretty nice to share her stroller with me, she likes to ride her bike or run along the kid path (That is the gutter on the side of the street.  We don't have to hold Mama or Daddy's hand if we are on the kid path.)  But when she gets tired she likes to hop on the front and get a ride.

Mama likes going for walks to get her steps in for the day and Linden and I love to enjoy the ride.

Off to enjoy some more sun!

SCFF: Rides, Food and Fun Part 3

There is so much to see and do at the fair, I am glad we went most nights in order to take it all in.

I really enjoyed checking out the fire truck with Daddy and Ellen.  They have all sorts of neat equipment to look at and the firemen are really nice to talk to.

The petting zoo area is always a highlight.  They had pigs, reindeer, goats, a donkey and a bunch more.  They even had a lemur mama and her baby.  The baby lemur was so tiny he could climb out of the cage and back in, the guy said it was ok because the baby never goes too far away from his mom, he must be a good listener like me!

Even the midway has tons to do besides the rides.  Ellen spent most of her time at the fair snuggling with Mama while Daddy and I were busy and on the go.

We met up with my good friends, Anna, Colin, Caden, and Declan.  It was great seeing everybody.

I got to play one game this year so I picked the fishing game, and guess what, I won!!!  I got a really cute stuffed animal to bring home, I sure was lucky!

Mama, Ellen and I spent some time playing on the tractors.  We found this big snow blower and thought Papa Tim needed it.  We decided to wait to go in the campers until Daddy got there.  I really liked looking at the campers and decided that we needed to buy one so I could live in it.  Mama said I don't have enough money in my piggy bank, maybe next year.

Mama likes walking through all of the buildings and looking at all of the projects that people entered.  We went into the classic car building and I found a car just like Papa Bob's convertible!!  I wanted to drive it home, but the guy at the door said we couldn't.

One night while we were eating dinner Steeley and Stella were walking around giving hugs and taking pictures.  I only wanted my picture with Stella.  It was so cool getting to meet them!

Well, that is all for our fair adventures until next year.  I can't wait!

SCFF: Rides, Food and Fun Part 2

Hey guys!  Ellen here to tell you about all of the great food I saw at the fair.  I can't wait until next year when I get to try some!!!

I got to go on my first ride this year, we all went on the Ferris Wheel.  Linden told me how great the rides are and she was right!!  I got kind of hungry from all of the going round and around though.  It was a great place to stop and enjoy some food.

Papa Bob's birthday was on Sunday of fair week so we decided to get him some taffy for his birthday!!  Linden picked out the taffy colors that the lady put in the box.  Papa Bob sure did love it!

Linden, Mama and Daddy enjoyed lots of different fair food.  Corndogs, greek kabobs, french fries, pork sandwiches, cotton candy, and even snow cones!!  Everything looked SOO good!

All this writing has me tired, I think I will take a nap.  Stay tuned for part 3 coming soon!
