Going to the Doctor

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

This morning Mama told me that I got to go to the doctor again, I thought it was kind of crazy because I was just there the other day, but she knows what's best, so I just went along with it.

I have been to the doctor a LOT this year!  When we went the other day Mama told the doctor about how I have had an ear infection almost every month since I was only a couple months old.  My tummy doesn't like all of the antibiotics so Mama decided there had to be a better solution so she talked to my doctor and they agreed that I need tubes.

I quickly realized that this wasn't going to be a normal trip to the doctor.  When we got there Mama had to fill out a lot of paperwork, and then they gave me a silly outfit to wear!  I really liked playing with the hat, and the shoe covers, though they were a little big for my feet.

It was also special because Mama told me that I could bring my blankie!  I REALLY love my blankie, but Mama says I have to leave it in my room and I certainly can't take it outside with me.

Mama got a special outfit too, the doctor told me that Mama was going to look like a big marshmallow!  Before putting the outfit on Me and Mama had to get a selfie  :-)

That is when it all went south...Mama carried me back to another room, it was cold and there were LOTS of people in there that I didn't know.  They all wanted to talk to me, I just wanted Mama to turn around.

A little while later I realized that I had a moment of weakness and I fell asleep!  Worse yet, Mama was gone.  There were lots of really nice nurses there who were trying to make me feel better, but all I wanted was my Mama.

After a little bit I convinced the nurses that I wasn't going to stop crying until they brought me back to Mama.  My doctor said I was pretty special, one of the nurses rode on the bed with my on her lap when they took me back to Mama, the sweet nurse felt so bad.

Once I was back with Mama I was a lot happier, but I really just wanted to leave.  The nurses kept bringing me snacks and drinks, but I REFUSED to eat them, I would only take stuff that Mama brought me from home.

Mama says my ears will feel better now.  By lunch time I was back to new and having a great time.  Grandma Nancy came over to hang out with Linden for her Halloween party so we got to eat lunch with her too.

Have a great Halloween!

Feeding my Puppies

Hey Everybody!! Ellen here!

Did you know that I have a job?  I get to feed my puppies every night!  Well, not actually both of my puppies, my job is to feed Bella!

Bella is a super great waiter while I am pouring her food into her bowl.

I am extra careful to make sure that every single piece gets into her bowl, even if it falls on the floor first.

Once the food is in her bowl the job is not done.  I have to collect both of the scoops...

and put them back into the food container!

The most important part of my job is making sure that the food container gets shut so Jake doesn't get in there and eat all of the food.

I take my job very seriously and get REALLY mad when daddy feeds them without letting me help.

Have a great night!

Nice to Meet You, Farmer John!

I got to go on my first field trip today!!  Our class took a trip to Farmer John's Pumpkin Patch!

Farmer John and Farmer Jan were super nice and taught us all sorts of things about their pumpkin farm.  They have over 40 kinds of pumpkins, including pink ones!!

Their yard has tons of fun stuff to play on.  Farmer John was able to fit all 23 people in my class into this strawberry!!

Farmer John taught us a new game, Ring Around the Ghostie!

Farmer John had a bunch of animals too.  We all really liked the chickens, but the rooster was WAY too loud!

He also had a big vegetable garden.  He showed us all sorts of plants, broccoli, kale, corn, cabbage...

and potatoes!

I was pretty excited that Mama got to go with on my field trip, but of course, that means that she needed to take a LOT of pictures of me...

I sure am getting big!

Mama took pictures of my friends too, she snuck this in while Farmer John was carving a pumpkin for our class.

Isn't that a great pumpkin!

We are working hard to get decorated and ready for Halloween, hope you are enjoying this great weather!

Where Are the Apples?

Hey Everybody!  Ellen Here!

Linden has been having so much fun at preschool and is just too tired to blog tonight, so it is my turn!

We have had some great Fall weather here and Mama and Daddy are making sure we are enjoying every minute of it.  Last weekend they took us to the Apple Orchard!

This is technically my 2nd trip to the apple orchard, but I was pretty little last year.  None the less, I was expecting more apples.  Instead, we got to play, Play, PLAY!

The first thing we got to do was jump on a REALLY huge jumper!  It was so big that Daddy had to help me up!

It was a lot of fun running around on it.

I can't wait until I learn to jump, Linden looked like she was having a TON of fun!

Once we were done with the jumper, we went over to the play gym area.  They have a bunch of things to do, a HUGE pile of tires to climb on, lots of slides, and tunnels!

Big Sissy was REALLY fast going through all of the tunnels, I had a hard time keeping up, but no worries!

I liked sitting in the tunnels, they sounded funny and the big kids liked to sit in there any play with me.

The roller slides were definitely my favorite.  I loved climbing up the stairs and going down the slides, all by myself.

Of course, Mama always has to sneak a couple cute pictures of me.  I don't really like to sit still, but I really love Mama so occasionally I'll humor her.

Even Linden loved the slides, they were really bumpy.

Linden thought I needed help...when will she learn that I am a big kid too?!?

The coolest part about the slides was that they were built around a big tractor.  Linden is such a great big sister and loves to help me do big kid things.

The apple orchard had a ton of fun signs all over the place, aren't I a cute apple?

Before we left, we had to get a ride on the cow tractor.  I was too little to go by myself so Mama came with me.  It was REALLY bumpy, but I LOVED it!

The big tractor was Linden's favorite.  Mom always needs a family picture, this was as good as she got.  Turns out, she took almost the same picture last year

We had so much fun that we left and realized that we didn't even pick any apples.  Linden wants to bake some yummy apple treats so we are certainly going to have to get some apples from the store for that.

Have a great night!

Mermaids and Fairies!

Hey guys!  Did you all have a great weekend? We sure did!!  We went to the Renaissance Festival!

This was a special year because this year we went to the Feast of Fantasy!!  It was pretty great, there was TONS of music, dancers, and LOTS of yummy food!!!

I really like getting to dress up like a fairy princess, it isn't everyday that I get to go out in a costume!  And our seats at the dinner were awesome, I could look out the window and see all of the performers!

Though I think the best part was getting to meet the Queen!  She was really sweet and told me that if I am a good girl someday I might be able to be the Queen.

The Rennisannce Festival has all sorts of great things to see, after lunch we went and met some mermaids!  Most of them were in the water or sunning on a rock farther away...

But one of them was really close and I got to meet her!! I told her all about my good friend Hannah and our mermaid tais!

Afterwards I got my face painted and of course I wanted to look like a mermaid!

After the mermaids it was time to checkout my other favorite area where the ferries live!!  I REALLY love fairies, they have such beautiful dresses and wings, and they hand out wishes!  I got a LOT of wishes!

All of the fairies are so nice.

After going on a bunch of rides, and eating too much food, it was time to go home.  We had a pretty great day, and I can't wait to go back again!

Have a good night!

Did Somebody Say Chocolate?

Hey Everybody! Ellen Here!

Mama and her friends are hosting a baby shower this weekend, and that means one thing...CUPCAKES!!!  Mama made some REALLY yummy looking dirt-and-worm cupcakes for her baby shower and she filled them with chocolate pudding.  Mama said I am too little to eat a whole cupcake, but she made sure to save some chocolate pudding for us!!

I LOVE CHOCOLATE PUDDING!!!!!  It was awesome!  I can't wait to try some of Mama's famous cupcakes!

Have a great night!

Preschool Prep

With the first day of preschool, it also meant the last day of daycare.  As usual, Mama tried to make sure it was a great day.  Because if how the start of school worked, it was my last day at Daycare, and Jaden and Annie's first day of Kindergarten!  Jaden and Annie have been at Gretchen's house since I have been there and we are really great friends.  Mama made us some school bus cupcakes and they were amazing!

Mama and Gretchen were full of tears.  Ellen will still be at Gretchen's so I don't know why they were being so silly, I will get to see Gretchen all the time!

After Mama and Gretchen were done crying, we headed to Berry Blast for a special treat!

Then off to Shelly's for my first day of school haircut!  She gave me the ROYAL treatment and washed my hair, just like she does for Mama!!

Even though I am a big girl, I still like to wear Shelly's little kid cape, it is so much more fun than the plain black one Mama has to wear.

I didn't realize that getting ready for school would take so much work!

Have a good night,
Linden
