Memorial Weekend Part 2: Fishing

Before I officially start this blog I have to warn you of two things...First of all, we had a REALLY great memorial weekend so it is going to take a few more posts to get it all in. Secondly, the post today isn't really about me, but it was a big part of the weekend so I thought it deserved some air time.

One of mom's favorite parts about Memorial weekend is that the whole family gets together for a weekend so we can all hang out. Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Bob, Aunt Heidi, Aunt Wendy, Aunt Missy and cousin Tyler come from mom's side. Grandma Carolyn, Grandpa Tim, Great Grandma Joan, Great Grandpa Glen, and Aunt Megan were all there from Dad's side (plus Megan's boyfriend Tommy and his two kids Evan and Carter). It is fun being able to get everybody together in one place and have a good time.

Cousin Tyler was pretty excited to come to the lake because he LOVES to fish. I am not sure LOVE is a strong enough word, he is a fishing freak!! He and Grandma Nancy were on the lake every single day fishing. Here is a picture of them...

The fishing was pretty good, they caught enough fish to eat it at almost every meal! Most of what they caught was Bass and Crappies, and it tasted pretty good.

Tyler's moms decided they wanted to leave Sunday night to beat the traffic and so they could get some work done around the house, Tyler loves fishing so much that he convinced them to let him stay one extra day and go home with Grandma so he could fish one more day.

The last day of fishing some guys from the resort asked Tyler to join them on their fishing boat, Tyler was in HEAVEN. These guys have been coming to the resort for a lot of years and one of them said he had only missed two bass openers in 37 years, they are experienced fishermen!

Here is a picture of Tyler with the Northern he caught while fishing with the resort guys...

And here is a picture of him with the bass he caught...

I can't wait until I am old enough to go fishing with him, I hope he will help me put the worms on so I don't have to touch them...

That is it for tonight. Until next time,

Linden
